Surgery’s done

Got the preferred vein. Took a little while, but everything checked out ok (good placement, good flow, etc). Next is the eye exam.

Fingers crossed that he recovers well and can just SLEEP.

Here’s a picture post-surgery. He was a champ!

    • Mastitis is under control! Antibiotics are a wonderful thing. My only current complaint is how long it’s taking to pump the last couple of days. I can seriously go for 45 minutes and still not be done.

      • Hey, just a thought, your situation is so so different from mine, but in case this helps–I’ve found when I’ve had issues with slow milk production in the past, it’s been due to minor dehydration. Don’t know if the antibiotics may cause/contribute to that, but it’s always helped me to up my water intake–like drink 16-24 oz of water in the hour before pumping. And then to keep drinking through it.

SO GLAD SAMUEL’S SURGERY WENT OK. I was worried. Still sending good thoughts

Drinking the water really helps production. Diet can sometimes play a roll. Eating extra snack may help. I usually had my flow slow when I was dehydrated, exhausted/stressed,sick (colds don’t help),or my period was coming (you probably won’t have to worry about that for a few months as long as you keep pumping). When pumping it helped me to have a picture of the baby near by. Good luck. La leche league actually has a really good website with a lot of good article and q&a.

So glad to hear Sam’s surgery went well. I’m sending up a prayer for that tough little boy. Take care of yourself too.
